It was May of 2009 when the Washington Post wrote
a story on the deficit which included the very sobering chart on the
deficit, above, — a graphic that quickly became a classic on the the
Internet.
About a year later, the graphic, below, was created. Since budgets are created by Congress, there is an obvious a party tie in to the chart above.
Now take a look at the chart, below, on pork, created by the Seattle Times in August 2007.
Now look at the cost of supporting such overhead to free enterprise. We are suffocating the private sector.
All this illustrates so beautifully why capitalism — with a limited government — is sustainable vs. capitalism — with a huge amount of overhead, government, a variation of socialism — is not.
