October’s Dia de los Muertos

If you are looking for a great reason to visit San Diego in the fall, the annual Dia de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead, is a perfect pre-Halloween excursion.

It’s fun, quirky and cool and, because the event is hosted at the Old Mission San Luis Rey, it’s also a safe, G-rated, family-oriented experience.

Here’s a terrific video of this fun day at the Old Mission.

The Mission also features its own events, including cooking classes so there is lots to do.

While you are in the area, the San Luis Rey Restaurant and Bakery near the old Mission is very good. Enjoy!
