Fallbrook, in North San Diego County, is a beautifully located destination perfect for weddings, anniversary celebrations and other special family events.
Weddings in Fallbrook…perfection!
When compared to the heavily-populated Southern California Counties, a wedding for 20 or 100 guests costs far less in Fallbrook. But Fallbrook is an easy drive for guests in San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. We have several large and small airports nearby.
Beyond its location, Fallbrook’s weather is amazing, all year ’round. While San Diego averages 146 sunny days a year, Fallbrook enjoys a stunning 264 days of sunshine and blue skies! The average temperature, year ’round, is in the 70s.
Since Fallbrook is located 15 to 20 miles inland from the ocean, its temperature runs about 10 degrees warmer, with far less fog. If it’s foggy on the coast, Fallbrook may share some of that in the early morning but it quickly burns off and it’s another beautiful, sunny day in Fallbrook.
But be warned — if you continue inland just another few miles, from the 15 freeway (Pala and Rainbow) all the way to Temecula and the Anza Borrego Desert — the temperature drops in the winter and rises another 10 degrees in the summer. That 20-degree swing makes a big difference, comfort-wise! So plan your wedding accordingly.
Fallbrook’s gentle hills are dotted with absolutely stunning oak trees, which can shelter your guests from the from the mid-day sun or the occasional rain shower. Twinkle lights strung in these oaks transform an inexpensive outdoor wedding into an absolutely magical event.
For these reasons, Fallbrook boasts a wedding venue for every taste and budget.
Our home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood so we do not have a Major Use Permit which is required for large events due to concerns about traffic, parking and noise. But many of our guests do come to Fallbrook for family weddings held at one of our local event/wedding venues or a local restaurant. Bridal parties have dressed for the wedding at our house and taken their pictures in our gardens. Often, this is where the bride or groom’s family stays to enjoy quality family time. Many extend their stay beyond a few days in order to enjoy all that Southern California has to offer. We’ve had family of the bridal party come to Fallbrook from as far away as Scotland! Fallbrook — the Friendly Village, as it is called — loves having them visit!
So if you are considering a Fallbrook wedding, here is our list of locations offering a variety of wedding packages just a short distance from our home at 2915 Lakemont Drive. Please tell them we sent you!
JULY 13, 2020, COVID NOTE: MANY OF OUR GORGEOUS WEDDING VENUES ARE NOT YET OPEN SO, FOR SMALL WEDDINGS AND GATHERINGS, RESTAURANTS WITH PATIOS ARE A VERY GOOD OPTION.
We highly recommend Faro Trupiano’s 127 West Social House on Main. Faro and his staff are open and happy to accommodate your celebration on their lovely outdoor patio. Their menu is great, service is terrific, just a really nice place. You can reach Faro at firstname.lastname@example.org or 760-390-3966. Please tell him Teresa Platt sent you!
